At the BCS web competition at Shrivenham Campus, yesterday, Aylesbury Grammar School's 'Team Ruby' were announced runners up in the web competition. The evening was very fun and we were able to meet various members of the BCS team. From being runners-up we were given software, usb sticks and Amazon vouchers. Thanks to Dr B for taking us there and masquerading the school as an Oxfordshire school.

Code database online
2007-04-29 22:56:08

As of today, begin programming now has a code database, which allows you to share any programs which you have made with other beginner programmers.

Have you ever wanted to know how to make your own computer games? Have you ever wondered how a program is made? If so, then this website is for you, we have a large section of tutorials in two different programming languages to get you going.

Kids Programming Language (KPL) is ideal if you are thinking about learning to program. It lets you make games quickly and easily, whilst having fun. Then, when you have finished, you can upload your games to our code database, to show your skills off to your friends.

When you have grasped KPL, we have another language for you to learn, called Object Pascal. This language is harder, however it is one of the language that professionals use. For example, Skype, the online telephone software is written in Object Pascal. Object Pascal is an easy, but fun language for you to learn!

So why not go to the KPL section of our site and begin to program?

The fun, exciting and sometimes irritating world of computer programming awaits you...
