If you have ever wondered what difference
there is between computing (or computer science) and ICT, we
intend to make the distinction clear.
In truth, ICT has nothing to do with computing. ICT looks at how to
use general purpose software, such as Microsoft Office in an
efficient manner. The sole purpose of ICT is to teach how to
use a computer.
Computing, or computer science looks at how applications and computers
are made. Computing is a very technical subject, with strong
links to maths and logical thinking. The 'core' of computing
is programming, as covered on this website, however looking in
depth at how a computer works is also covered.
